Springboks vs All Blacks Test 3 Preview

By Hans Dürr

The Springboks play the All Blacks at FNB Stadium on Saturday in the third test of Rugby's Greatest Rivalry. This time, Nika Amashukeli is the referee, and if history is anything to go by, he will favour the team that he believes has the upper hand in the set phases and rucks and mauls. Even though his calls can be interesting at times, he has been good to the Springboks. May that continue.

The All Blacks have picked an even more mobile pack than last week, with the speedy, mobile, ball-playing forwards, Aumua, Lakai and Sititi, all playing a part. They want to make the game even faster and run circles around the Springboks.

Rain is predicted yet again. The Sportstats guys will be at the game, so we would prefer a dry matchup.

I think the Springbok defence will improve even more and that the All Blacks will be restricted to less than four tries. The Springbok plan will be the same as last week: force mistakes and try to get points from all kickable penalties.

It is probably bold to say that the Springbok attack will be better and that a try or two will be scored from line breaks. Maybe something special from Sacha.

I am going for the Springboks by 8.
